LIGHTONEARTH combines art sound with art visual and travel photographs that question us about the impermanence of places experienced and our relationship to time in a subtle development, integrating field recording, walls of sound, subtle matter, on the border between ambient, post minimalism and concrete musique.
DAVYDFERRY is a sound artist and composer, multi-instrumentalist, based in France. His compositions oscillate between post-minimalist music, drone, ambient electronics and acousmatics. He studied electroacoustic compositions with Bernard Fort at Villeurbanne ENM. He has practiced electronic composition solo, in groups and in meetings, since the end of the 90s, from live performance, interpretation on acousmonium to sound installation.
He also followed the teachings and workshops of Michel Chion, Jonathan Prager, Tomonari Igaki on the vast and fascinating subject of composition, spatialization and interpretation on acousmonium. Drawing inspiration from stylistic influences such as musique concrete, post-minimalism and ambient electronic music, his creations with hybrid forms question our posture in the world between cosmic and organic, dazzle and darkness, weaving synapses to explore the resonances of sound , the dynamics, the rhythmic relationship as a reflection of our interiority. It uses a varied instrumentation combining analog synthesizers, tape recorders and field recording. He performs in France and Europe.
ROSEMARYLOISY is a photographer, she studied in Lyon. She develops a film and digital photographic practice always prey to the instantaneous. With an approach sensitive to the boundaries of the real and the artificial, she questions the materiality and subjectivity of the places she photographs. The place that humans try to find in society and the traces they leave on their environment constitute the subject of his visual work.
In the LightOnEarth project, she integrates the photographs she captured in different places around the world, urban and natural landscapes come juxtaposed in a slow metamorphosis to constitute a digital painting in perpetual evolution where reality becomes only specters and reflections.
